I was born and raised in Austin, Texas. My father served in the Army and my mother worked as a housekeeper. I am the 4th of 8 children, with 3 older sisters and 4 younger brothers. Growing up I was blessed to be a pretty good student and athlete. Involvement in sports opened doors and presented opportunities I wouldn't likely have otherwise had without it. Education however, was and continues to be the gateway to where I am in life and what I have achieved. Educationally I have a Bachelors Degree from Rice University, Masters Degree from Liberty University, and 4 major designations in Insurance and Financial Services. I have worked for the City of Austin, spent a few years as a professional athlete, spent over 30 years working in the private sector (almost 25 of those years in management). My most recent experience was over 2 years with the Supreme Court of Virginia as a Judicial Officer. 

It would be an honor to lend my background and experience to representing the residents of the 8th district on the City Council.
